Role Overview

The Lead Product Manager, Customer Experience - EPIC EMR Integrations will define and drive Myriad's enterprise strategy for EMR-integrated customer experiences, with a focus on embedding genetic testing into clinical workflows in ways that are intuitive, scalable, and clinically meaningful.

This leader will partner across Product, Engineering, EMR Technology, Clinical Product, Commercial, Operations, and Executive Leadership to identify high-value opportunities, align investments, and deliver measurable improvements in ordering, results delivery, clinical decision support, and downstream workflows.

In addition to owning product strategy and execution, this role will serve as a hands-on leader and mentor within the Product organization, advancing best practices, supporting cross-functional delivery, and elevating the value of customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy, Vision & Portfolio Leadership
  • Define and drive the multi-year product strategy for customer-facing EMR integrations across Myriad's portfolio, with a primary focus on Epic.
  • Set priorities that balance customer needs, business objectives, technical feasibility, and long-term platform value.
  • Lead roadmap planning and investment recommendations for integration, workflow, and interoperability capabilities.
  • Identify market, regulatory, interoperability, and healthcare technology trends that create strategic advantage.
  • Build data-driven business cases and align senior stakeholders on priorities, risks, and tradeoffs.
Customer Experience & Workflow Transformation
  • Champion an enterprise view of the customer experience across ordering, results delivery, clinical decision support, and follow-up workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to improve clinical workflows through EMR-enabled experiences that are intuitive, scalable, and measurable.
  • Partner with strategic customers, clinicians, and health systems to understand needs and shape future-state product direction.
  • Define customer experience principles and outcome measures that guide product decisions across teams.
  • Ensure investments improve provider efficiency, adoption, utilization, and customer satisfaction.
EMR Integration & Interoperability Leadership
  • Lead product strategy for EMR integration capabilities, with deep focus on Epic and extensibility across broader EMR ecosystems.
  • Guide interoperability priorities across HL7, FHIR, APIs, discrete data exchange, and clinical workflows.
  • Partner with Engineering and EMR Technology to evaluate technical approaches, scalability, and long-term platform investments.
  • Drive execution of high-impact initiatives that increase adoption, improve workflow fit, and deliver customer value.
  • Establish standards and best practices for customer-centered integration design.
Cross-Functional & Executive Leadership
  • Serve as the primary product leader for EMR integration strategy across Product, Engineering, Clinical, Commercial, Operations, and Customer Success.
  • Influence senior leadership through customer insight, strategic recommendations, and business impact analysis.
  • Align cross-functional teams around priorities, tradeoffs, resource constraints, and execution plans.
  • Represent Product Management in strategic customer, partner, and executive discussions.
  • Build trusted relationships across organizational boundaries to accelerate decisions and deliver results.
Performance, Outcomes & Continuous Improvement
  • Define portfolio-level success metrics for adoption, workflow utilization, customer experience, efficiency, and business performance.
  • Use quantitative and qualitative insights to evaluate investments and maximize customer and business value.
  • Identify opportunities to improve integrated digital workflows, customer outcomes, and operational performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement based on customer feedback, field insights, market dynamics, and performance data.
  • Develop executive-level reporting and recommendations on product performance and strategic opportunities.
Product Leadership & Team Development
  • Mentor Product Managers and cross-functional partners on product management practices and customer-centered thinking.
  • Advance product management standards for roadmaps, prioritization, discovery, and outcome measurement.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, continuous learning, and hands-on delivery.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for customer experience, interoperability, and digital health workflows.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required in business, healthcare, informatics, engineering, or a related field.
  • 8-12+ years of experience in product management, digital health, healthcare technology, interoperability, or related disciplines.
  • 5+ years of experience implementing, improving, or supporting Epic EMR workflows in a health system, vendor, consulting, or clinical lab environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex product strategies and cross-functional initiatives with enterprise-wide impact.
  • Significant experience with healthcare interoperability, clinical workflows, and scalable technical integrations across EMR ecosystems.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and align stakeholders across complex environments.
  • Experience in regulated healthcare, diagnostics, life sciences, or health technology organizations strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities
  • Advanced product management expertise across strategy, portfolio planning, prioritization, discovery, delivery, and outcome measurement.
  • Ability to translate customer, clinical, business, and technical needs into scalable product solutions.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare interoperability standards, including HL7, FHIR, APIs, and EMR integration approaches.

Physical Requirements
