About The RoleAs a Lead Product Manager at Posh, you'll own the future of the consumer app - specifically, how event discovery and social discovery work on Posh. This is one of the most wide-open, highest-leverage problem spaces in the company because you will be building the re-engagement loop that turns a single event attendee into someone who comes back to Posh again and again to find their next experience and their people across multiple verticals.
You won't be handed a roadmap. Your job will be to work with UXR, design, GTM, and leadership to define what discovery means on Posh. This means running top-of-funnel product discovery and visioning work, then translating that vision into multiple concurrent, shippable bets and prototypes. Some of that means well funded, first-to-market bets with no established playbook. You'll need to be equally comfortable in ambiguous "what should this even be" territory and in disciplined, metrics-driven execution on bets we're more confident in.
Because Posh is a two-sided marketplace, none of this happens in isolation. Every discovery and engagement bet you make will stitch back to organizer success creating a successful flywheel that will help consumers and organizers who are looking to grow their businesses on Posh.
This is an in-person position at our New York City office located in the heart of SoHo (5 days a week onsite).
At a high level, you'll be in charge of:- Developing and Executing Product Strategies: Lead the creation and implementation of comprehensive product strategies that align with Posh's vision and business objectives. Define and communicate the product roadmap, prioritizing features based on customer needs, business value, and long-term impact.
- Collaborating on Research, Market Insights, and Company Strategy: Work closely with UXR, GTM, design, and product to analyze market data, customer feedback, and user research to inform product decisions and justify your plan.
- Leading Product Development end to end: Manage the product development lifecycle from concept to launch, working closely with cross functional teams and leadership. Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products with clear validation plans and showcasing the ability to pivot when necessary.
- Owning and Defining Metrics: Establish and own key performance metrics for Consumer, consistently. Share back a clear understanding of why specific initiatives succeed or failed with clear experimentation methods, and use this knowledge to guide future decisions.
- Anticipating and Resolving Trade-Offs: Proactively address difficult trade-off decisions especially when conflicting with organizer needs, and find creative solutions as a result. Ensure that decisions made across teams are aligned and support the overall goals of the organization.
- Coaching and Improving Team Expertise: Help improve the overall expertise of your team by coaching, influencing, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Extend your deep professional knowledge beyond your current responsibilities to enhance the team's capabilities.
- Stakeholder Management and Communication: Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership and partners. Effectively communicate product updates, progress, and results to various audiences, ensuring alignment and transparency across the organization.
