Job DescriptionOracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Networking is the foundation that enables customers to run mission-critical workloads at global cloud scale.
We're rearchitecting OCI's routing foundation from the ground up to support the next generation of networking services. This is a unique opportunity to influence the architecture of one of the world's largest cloud networking platforms. We're looking for engineers with strong computer science fundamentals, a deep understanding of networking and routing, and a passion for building large-scale distributed systems to join our technical leadership team.
Our team develops the core infrastructure that powers OCI Networking's data plane, solving complex challenges in routing, workload placement, and fleet management at cloud scale. You'll collaborate across OCI Networking and Infrastructure teams to shape the future of OCI Networking.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Principal Member of Technical Staff, you will:
- Lead the architecture, design, implementation, and evolution of highly scalable distributed systems that power OCI Networking.
- Drive the technical direction of critical platform services supporting routing, workload placement, and fleet lifecycle management.
- Partner across OCI organizations to build reliable, scalable, and operable cloud infrastructure.
- Mentor engineers, influence architectural decisions, and raise the engineering bar through technical leadership, design reviews, and operational excellence.

Requirements- 10+ years of experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, networking software, or systems software.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, distributed systems, and software design.
- Strong familiarity with network routing protocols; implementation experience is highly desirable.
- Experience building and operating modern CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and deployment workflows for large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience designing, building, and operating highly available, production-grade distributed services at scale.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, including driving architecture, mentoring engineers, and leading cross-team technical initiatives.
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
