Lead Pricing Strategy Manager

Why does this role exist?

The Lead Pricing Strategy Manager shapes and leads JTI USA's Pricing and Revenue Growth Management (RGM) strategy. Reporting to the Portfolio & Pricing Director, this role owns the development of pricing architecture, pack-price strategy and strategic pricing recommendations to drive sustainable profitability, market share and long-term portfolio value.The role leads a team of two direct reports and works closely with the Pricing Operations and Investment Lead Manager, who owns pricing operations and the planning, governance and optimization of commercial investment.

What will you do?
  • Define the national and state-level pricing strategy, aligned with portfolio priorities, business objectives and market dynamicsLead the development of pricing architecture, price positioning and pack-price strategy across the portfolio
  • Use elasticity analysis, price-gap modelling and scenario planning to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions
  • Translate consumer, competitor and market insights into clear pricing recommendations and strategic guardrails
  • Assess the volume, revenue, profit and market-share implications of alternative pricing scenarios
  • Establish pricing principles, governance and performance measures to support consistent decision-making
  • Monitor pricing performance and external market developments, recommending strategic adjustments where required
  • Partner with the Pricing Operations and Investment Lead Manager to ensure pricing strategy is translated into effective execution and supported by appropriately targeted commercial investment
  • Present pricing recommendations, trade-offs and business implications to senior leadership
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, Marketing and Strategic Insights to embed RGM principles in commercial planning
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team, strengthening its strategic and analytical capabilities


Who are we looking for?
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, Economics, Business or a related field
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in pricing, RGM, strategic insights, commercial strategy or trade marketing within fast-moving consumer goods
  • Strong understanding of pricing strategy, portfolio economics and commercial value creation
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex market and consumer insights into clear strategic recommendations
  • Experience assessing the revenue, profitability, volume and market-share implications of pricing decisions
  • Strong commercial judgement and the ability to balance short-term performance with long-term portfolio value
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder-management and influencing skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and develop talent
  • Advanced Excel and data-visualization skills
