Full Job Description
We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Lead, People Analytics. This role is based in Oakville, ON or Montreal, QC and reports to the Senior Manager, People Analytics & HR Technology.

Job Summary

As the Lead, People Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how HR transforms workforce data into meaningful insights that inform priorities, strengthen decision-making, and support long-term organizational planning. This opportunity is suited for a strategic, hands-on analytics leader who is energized by complexity, deeply curious about the story behind the data, and skilled at translating information into clear, actionable direction.

Building on a strong foundation, you will help further mature IPEX's people data ecosystem-advancing the integrity, consistency, and accessibility of workforce insights while enabling more scalable, proactive, and insight-driven analytics practices. Through your leadership, you will elevate people-related discussions at both the HR leadership and executive levels by bringing clarity, objectivity, and meaningful context to workforce insights.

You will contribute at both a strategic and operational level-shaping how insights are understood, communicated, and applied across the organization while strengthening People Analytics as a critical lever for HR decision-making. Principal Responsibilities

People Analytics Leadership
  • Lead the People Analytics team with a clear sense of priority, ensuring reporting cycles, analytics requests, and project deliverables are managed with focus, accuracy, and strong follow-through.
  • Create an environment where the team can deliver high-quality insights while continuing to build capability across workforce analytics, reporting, dashboarding, and master data management.


Workforce Insights & Leadership Reporting
  • Turn complex workforce and organizational information into clear, executive-ready insights that support HR leadership reporting, organizational reviews, and workforce planning discussions.
  • Help leaders understand what the data is showing by presenting trends, risks, and opportunities in a way that is objective, relevant, and connected to business and HR priorities.


Data Integrity, Governance & Automation
  • Strengthen the foundation of people data by advancing master data practices, improving consistency, supporting governance, and helping ensure workforce information can be trusted.
  • Improve how HR reporting and analytics are delivered by identifying opportunities to reduce manual effort, enhance data workflows, and support more scalable, automated, and self-service capabilities.


Stakeholder Partnership & Analytics Maturity
  • Work closely with HR stakeholders to understand priorities, clarify requests, and guide conversations toward insights that are meaningful, actionable, and aligned to decision-making needs.
  • Support the continued evolution of People Analytics by promoting stronger reporting discipline, improving confidence in workforce data, and enabling more proactive, insight-led practices across HR.


Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 5-8+ years of progressive experience in People Analytics, HR Reporting, Workforce Analytics, HRIS Reporting, or a related analytical role, including experience leading, coordinating, or providing direction to others.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, data modelling, and large dataset management.
  • Strong experience developing dashboards, reporting solutions, and data visualizations using Power BI.
  • Strong SQL skills, with the ability to write, review, and refine queries used to retrieve, validate, and troubleshoot workforce data.
  • Strong understanding of HR metrics, workforce analytics, reporting methodologies, and data governance practices, with a high level of accuracy, analytical judgment, and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms; experience with Workday, Dayforce, or similar systems is considered an asset.
  • Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms is considered an asset.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear insight for HR leadership, executives, and broader stakeholder audiences.


The compensation for this position is between $93,000.00 - 116,300.00 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
