Qualifications

  • Completed an accredited nuclear medicine technology program or military training program, or two years of clinical experience in a military setting.

  • Experience as a hospital nuclear medicine technologist.
  • Minimum two years of clinical experience in nuclear medicine.
  • Certification by ARRT in Nuclear Medicine or current NMTCB certification is mandatory.
  • CPR/BLS certification required within 90 days of hiring.
  • Current license from Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures according to protocols and safety standards.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients as directed by physicians.
  • Maintain and calibrate nuclear medicine equipment for accurate tests.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Educate patients and their families about procedures and safety measures.
  • Record and analyze patient data accurately and promptly.
  • Assist in the training of new staff and contribute to team leadership.

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, full-time. Day shift, M-F 8 hour shifts. You will work at the UW Health Swedish American Hospital, potentially one day per week at the UW Health N Bell School Rd Medical Center.

Additional components of compensation may include:

Evening, night, and weekend shift differential
Overtime
On-call pay

Qualifications

  • Completed an accredited nuclear medicine technology program, a recognized military nuclear medicine technology training program, or possess two years of related clinical experience in a military setting. Required
  • Must provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained. Required


Work Experience

  • Experience as a hospital nuclear medicine technologist. Required
  • Two years of clinical experience. Required
  • Experience in a lead or supervisor position in medical imaging. Preferred


Licenses & Certifications

  • Certification by ARRT in Nuclear Medicine or current NMTCB certification. Required
