Join one of the nation's most comprehensive academic medical centers, UChicago Medicine, as a Lead LIS/Epic Beaker Analyst. This position is based at our Hyde Park campus with opportunities for remote work.

As a Lead LIS/Epic Beaker Analyst, you will instruct, prioritize, and quality check the work of other business systems/applications analysts. Formulate and define systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of business applications and industry requirements. Design and modify application configuration and code to solve complex problems considering technology and business needs. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirements specifications. Not only possess full technical knowledge of most phases of system analysis but also consider the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment. Acts as a team leader for projects with moderate budget or of a short to intermediate duration.

Required Qualifications
  • Epic Beaker certification
  • BS or BA degree, computer science or business or equivalent relevant certification in healthcare, business management or information systems
  • Minimal of 5 years of experience within an application team, with 2+ years of experience leading an application team
  • Effective project management and team leadership skills are required: development and management of detailed project plans, objectives, control methods, and coordination of project team efforts
  • Demonstrated expertise within a specialized area of information systems software implementation and operational management
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and assess work to meet deadlines and to cope with a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of working well in a diverse, multi-disciplinary team and successfully interacting with others at all levels of the organization, including remote teams
  • Proven ability to manage multiple requests, tasks, and requirements
  • Proven skills in problem solving
  • Experience in business process mapping
  • Experience defining requirements and software development methodologies
  • Ability to correlate between business, functional, and technical requirements
  • Solid interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, and effective presentation skills
  • Experience developing presentations for project work
  • Ability to plan and facilitate meetings with diverse participants
  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor in both normal and pressure situations

UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.

The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
