Position Overview:

The Lead Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Analyst is a highly skilled and experienced professional who plays a crucial role in driving operational excellence across the Credit Union. The lead will play a key role identifying OPEX opportunities, developing improvement roadmaps tied to organizational strategy and goals, and leading improvement initiatives that deliver tangible business value and operational excellence.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Weighted 30% - Lead role identifying operational excellence improvement opportunities based on data, analytics, and financial goals. Define and prioritize improvement roadmaps tied to strategic goals and objectives for assigned portfolios.


  • Weighted 30% - Lead and/or coach (black belts) improvement initiatives to deliver against the improvement roadmaps to deliver measurable financial and service outcomes.


  • Weighted 20% - Define KPIs and dashboards tied to operational excellence portfolios and initiatives. Perform benefit validation in partnership with Finance.


  • Weighted 10% - Deliver executive level progress and financial outcome reporting and dashboards for assigned portfolios.


  • Weighted 10% - Develop operational excellence reusable tools, standards, and playbooks.


Required Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Min 7 years direct experience
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma black belt
  • Strong background in Operational Excellence, Lean Six Sigma or structured problems solving methodologies
  • Ability to translate data into insights and portfolio development
  • Experience with formal change management methodology (i.e. Prosci, Kotter, CAP, etc..)
  • Proven track record driving improvement initiatives and influencing senior leadership to measurable outcomes
  • Experience influencing and partnering with senior leadership to shape strategy, align priorities, and drive accountability
  • Strong relationship builder at all levels
  • Strong communication skills both writing and verbal
  • Ability to create and deliver executive level presentations


Preferred Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Analytics, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience
  • Change Management certification
  • Background in strategy and/or consulting
  • Experience with Power BI and creating executive dashboards
  • Experience with Clarity and JIRA for project and portfolio management
  • Experience with AI and Machine Learning


Job Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Travel up to 10% of the time
  • Fully Remote
