Lead Lab Technologist - Generalist - Nights NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital is the singular source of care and caring for New Yorkers who live and work south of 14th Street. Situated at the crossroads of the world's financial epicenter and several diverse and historic communities, we provide world-class care with a patient-inspired community touch.

The full-time Lead Technologist, Nightshift position is needed to serve as a lead generalist for the laboratories. This position will perform testing and help oversee operations between the Blood Bank, Chemistry and Hematology, and Microbiology departments at night. Lead the flow process of the Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank and Microbiology departments. This includes running Quality Control, calibration of instruments and performing patient testing within the department that includes not only automated but several manual tests as well. Work to help resolve patient testing issues, as well as help oversee instrument troubleshooting issues. Monitor and work with the Supervisor to make sure supplies do not run out and prevent them from being able to perform patient testing.

This is a full-time, Night shift position, working 12:00am - 8:00am with rotating weekends and holidays.

Preferred Criteria
  • Prior Microbiology and Chemistry or Hematology experience
  • Prior experience in a hospital system
  • Leadership skills

Salary Range:

$61.40-$70.55/Hourly
