LEAD = Leadership, Expertise, and Accelerated DevelopmentOver the course of 2 years, you will have diverse assignments across Enterprise IT and Software Development that align to both business objectives and your career goals. You will gain a breadth of experience across the business with assignments in project & product management, data & analytics, IT Operations, software development (and more!). These projects will often expose you to some of the most exciting emerging technologies and trends including cloud computing, machine learning, cyber security, technical project management, and agile software development (just to name a few). Our rotational program also includes career development opportunities, leadership opportunities, exposure to real-world technology applications, structure training and seminars, and executive mentorship.
Program Structure:
- Full-time, two-year development program where members rotate assignments in Wabtec's Enterprise IT organization, with guidance from mentors and experts, to deliver business value while honing key technical and leadership skills for long-term success within our organization
- Four, six-month rotational assignments covering diverse responsibilities including, but not limited to, product management, data & analytics, IT Operations, cyber security, software engineering, cloud engineering, technical project management, and software development to support critical functions such as Operations, Services, Digital Electronics, Engineering and Finance.
- Experiential learning, structured seminar training, and IT coursework/certifications focused on technical training, leadership skills, personal development, and strengthening the rotational program member's business acumen
Minimum Requirements:
- Prior internship, co-op, or research experience in Enterprise IT, software, or related area
- Candidate must graduate with a bachelor's or master's degree focused in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, IT Security, Informatics, Information Science/Technology, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, Security and Risk Analysis, or other relevant STEM majors with Software/IT experience; or graduate from a software/IT accelerator program before the planned start date
- Candidate must graduate by June 2027
- Minimum cumulative or in-major 3.0/4.0 GPA or equivalent upon graduation
- Availability to work full time (40 hrs/wk)
- Ability to live in or move to one of our core locations (Pittsburgh, PA; Chicago, IL) for the duration of the rotational program
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this role.
