Job Summary

This senior level position is considered a team lead that installs, maintains, and repairs plant instrumentation and electrical equipment, under limited supervision in order to maximize well production and end-user time, while reducing environmental hazards, safety risks and costs.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Represent the company as the instrumentation and electrical leader focusing on optimizing well production
  • Performs complex maintenance tasks involving instrumentation and electrical equipment
  • Responsible for new installations, preventative maintenance and recommend field solutions for instrumentation and electrical equipment
  • Advices team members on best practices
  • Mentors and trains less experienced instrument and electrical technicians
  • Reads and interprets network diagrams, plans, blueprints, electrical wiring diagrams, gauges, and other instruments
  • Assess current operations, procedures, problems or needs and recommends improvements to improve safety, increase productivity, enhance performance and reduce cost
  • Works with hand tools and test instruments
  • Responds to and resolves emergency calls
  • Anticipates material and equipment needs
  • Trains end-users on proper functionality and to increase knowledge
  • Performs all work in accordance with Expand's HSER Guidelines
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Job Specific Skills

  • Advanced knowledgeable in Flow Computer principles and concepts
  • Advanced knowledge of low-voltage electronics, electricity and basic oil and gas principles
  • Advanced knowledge of safety/environmental requirements and practices
  • Enhanced ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and project consequences of proposed actions
  • Ability to work in a hot, humid, noisy, & high volume machine production area
  • Ability to effectively manage and guide subordinates to achieve clear goals and objectives


Education & Experience

Minimum: High School Diploma or GED and 8 years related work experience or an equivalent substitution for education of 12 - 16 years related work experience

Additional Qualifications

Ability to possess a valid drivers license
