Pay Range:

Why this job matters:
Independently lead the extraction and analysis of health care data for specific studies and corporate initiatives. Lead data intensive projects and serve as a technical resource to department staff and management on technical issues; develop new analyses and reporting metrics to assist management with decision making. Train and mentor less experienced staff. Develop and improve automated processes to increase the efficiency and accuracy of work products.
What you Will Do:
Develop and maintain analytical queries, views, and data transformations using SQL and Python to support operational and financial analytics use cases.
Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports that communicate trends, performance metrics, and financial insights to business and finance stakeholders.
Partner with Finance, Accounting, Budget and Actuarial teams to support financial analysis.
Translate business and financial questions into analytical approaches and clearly communicate findings and recommendations to non-technical audiences.
Develop and document repeatable analytical processes and data assets to improve efficiency, accuracy, and governance.
Support enterprise initiatives by contributing analytical expertise to cross-functional projects and data modernization efforts.
Maintain documentation of business requirements, data definitions, and analytical methodologies. Perform other duties as assigned.
What you need to succeed:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Economics or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
Three to five years of health data analysis, business analysis, software application, database design, and technical documentation experience.
Hands-on experience working with large datasets in relational or cloud-based data platforms. Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and synthesize complex data sets.
Proficiency with Snowflake, including Snowsight, SQL-based analytics, and data exploration.
Strong working knowledge of Python for data analysis, transformation, and automation.
Experience developing dashboards, reports, and semantic models for business and financial users. Ability to translate technical results into actionable insights for business and finance stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Ability to interface with employees at all levels.
Ability to effectively navigate ambiguous situations with limited direction. Good business acumen and political savvy.
The Extras:
Advanced coursework or graduate-level education in Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
Familiarity with healthcare data domains such as claims, enrollment, utilization, or financial reporting.
Experience supporting financial analytics, including cost analysis, trend analytics, performance monitoring, forecasting, or variance analysis.
Experience working in a modern analytics environment that emphasizes data governance, reusable data assets, and self-service analytics.
Experience developing Power BI dashboards.
