Duties

Help

As a Lead Grants Evaluation Specialist (Team Leader), you will:

  • Ensure ONAP's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated to the team and integrated into team strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products.
  • Monitor and report on the status of work-in-progress and reviews completed work to ensure that the Division Director's instructions on work priorities, methods, deadlines, and quality are being met.
  • Prepare reports and maintain records of work accomplishments and administrative information as required, and coordinates the preparation, presentation, and communication of work related information to the Division Director.
  • Represent the AO Division Team in dealings with the Division Director for the purpose of obtaining resources such as overtime and compensatory time, and securing decisions on major work problems that arise.

The official duty station for this position will be in Chicago, Illinois. Failure to report to duty at this location may be grounds for a disciplinary action, including removal.

Key Requirements:

  • Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
  • A probationary or trial period may be required. Continued employment is contingent upon supervisory certification that continued employment will benefit the Federal Service; the certification will occur no less than 30 days before the end of the probationary/trial period.

  • Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:

- Analyzing, evaluating, and recommending solutions to policy and program issues; AND

- Reviewing annual reports and audits and providing on-going technical assistance and training to employees as well

as recipients on program related issues; AND

-Providing guidance to team members and monitoring their progress towards achieving program goals and objectives


The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume.

Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:

For the GS-13 you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.

Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
