Lead Engineer to spearhead our physical plant operations and engineering team at Atlantic Station. In this full-time, non-exempt role, you will act as the crucial link between property management and hands-on site execution. You will balance complex, advanced troubleshooting across multiple trades-including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems-with daily supervisory duties. What You'll Do1. Team Leadership & Work Management- Frontline Supervision: Lead and supervise the property engineering staff, strategically assigning, scheduling, and prioritizing daily work orders and operational functions.
- Central Liaison: Serve as a dependable point of contact for staff, management, tenants, and outside vendors; promptly address issues and navigate difficult conversations with a customer-service mindset.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to company protocols, health mandates, and local, state, and federal safety/regulatory codes (including OSHA).
2. Technical Maintenance & Specialized Repairs- HVAC & Plant Systems: Diagnose, repair, and maintain advanced mechanical machinery, including heating/cooling units, hot water boilers, make-up air units, cooling towers, and booster pumps.
- Plumbing & Electrical: Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair commercial piping, fixtures, faulty switches, wiring, and ballasts; routinely clear main line blockages and manage basic building alarm systems.
- Structural Carpentry & Upkeep: Execute routine-to-difficult carpentry tasks, including repairing or installing door jambs, commercial closers, locks, and ceiling grids. Perform professional-grade painting and drywall/plaster patching as needed.
3. Preventive Maintenance & Facility Inspections- Framework Development: Plan, schedule, and execute robust preventive maintenance calendars across all core building systems.
- Proactive Auditing: Conduct regular facility and machinery inspections to catch, diagnose, and mitigate building failures before they impact operations or the guest experience.
Requirements
What You Bring to the TableEducation & Experience- Foundational Background: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- Proven Tenure: A minimum of five (5) years of progressive commercial facilities maintenance or engineering experience, with a minimum of one (1) year of direct supervisor or team leadership experience.
- Licensure: A valid driver's license is required.
Technical Mastery & Certifications- Trade Expertise: Complete proficiency across commercial electrical distribution, mechanical plumbing, HVAC troubleshooting, advanced carpentry, and blueprint literacy.
- Preferred Credentials: Active vocational certifications in HVAC (EPA Universal), Electrical, or Plumbing are highly desirable.
Physical & Personal Attributes- Stamina & Strength: Ability to lift up to 75 pounds independently and perform demanding physical labor for extended durations across diverse indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
- Availability: Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and remain on-call as needed to support property operations and emergencies.
- Core Competencies: Self-motivated team player with strong project management skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a high degree of personal accountability.
