This position is 100% onsite; no remote or hybrid option is available at this time. SPECIFIC DUTIES:- Lead the conceptual design and development of new turbine engine components, including defining component geometry, material selection, and functional performance requirements for new product programs.
- Establish product design specifications and engineering requirements, including tolerance schemes, performance criteria, and validation parameters, prior to release to manufacturing.
- Integrate design-for-manufacturability and design-to-cost principles at the conceptual stage solely to inform design decisions, without responsibility for developing or implementing manufacturing processes.
- Develop original component designs intended for new product introductions and expansion programs, ensuring that design requirements are fully defined prior to transition to manufacturing teams.
- Prepare and own engineering design documentation, including detailed component drawings, design models, and technical specifications required for product release.
- Lead formal engineering design reviews and approve design releases, ensuring that all product requirements are satisfied before components are transferred to manufacturing for execution.
- Define validation strategies and performance testing requirements for newly designed components, including coordination with testing teams to confirm design integrity.
- Provide technical design direction during early-stage product development and initial production launch solely to ensure adherence to design intent, without involvement in production floor operations or process execution.
- Develop design standards, methodologies, and best practices for turbine engine component development, including guidance on performance, reliability, and cost considerations at the design level.
