Full Job Description
Monitor or supervise Shop floor activities to solve wiring diagram issues. Create wiring diagrams for metal enclosed breakers. Review wiring diagrams for Metal Enclosed Breaker (MEB), Gas Insulated Switchgear (IGX), and Medium Voltage Switch over Breaker (MSB) jobs for quality checks. Create Power BI dashboards to track engineering metrics. Review high complexity jobs for quality checks to achieve quality metrics. Detail job estimation, planning and allocation for India Team. Check schematics drawings, three line and mechanical drawings to ensure correct output. Raise queries to discuss the discrepancies and find solutions to expedite orders. Create training plans for team members and arrange knowledge sharing sessions to build organizational capabilities. Implement continuous improvements tools to identify problems which create delays in on-time delivery. Implement design automation for Medium Voltage Assemblies (MVA) product lines to enable automation of current processes. Position is fixed location based in Greenwood, SC office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed. Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a directly related field plus seven (7) years of experience in an engineering position. Experience must include: Five (5) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently): - Creation of detail wiring diagrams for medium voltage applications, including MVA, IGX, MSB, and MEB. - Checking schematics drawings, three line and mechanical drawings to ensure correct output. - Raising queries to discuss the discrepancies and find solutions to expedite orders. - Reviewing wiring diagrams for MVA, MVS, & IGX jobs for quality checks. Four (4) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently): - Implementation of continuous improvements tools to identify problems which create delays in on-time delivery. - Implementation of design automation for MVA product lines to enable automation of current processes. Three (3) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently): - Reviewing high complexity jobs for quality checks to achieve quality metrics. Two (2) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently): - Detail job estimation, planning, and allocation in team environment. - Creation of MVA team level metrics dashboard to track performance. One (1) year of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently): - Creation of training plans for team members and arranging knowledge sharing sessions for organizational capabilities.
