KPMG is currently seeking a Lead Engineer I, Software Developer to join our Ignition Tax Product organization.
Responsibilities:- Lead a team of developers to develop web applications, which include technical discussions, gathering team estimates, ensuring timely deployments, approving pull requests, among other leadership tasks, and work cross functionally
- Develop/Handson applications with Angular 16+, TypeScript, and Microsoft .NET Core (C#) with MS SQL Server as the database backend
- Design database schema; create stored procedures in MS SQL Server/Azure SQL server
- Perform unit testing and troubleshoot applications built on Angular, ASP.NET, .NET, C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, and SQL Server
- Practice standard development process leveraging agile methodologies such as SCRUM and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Review and analyze business requirements, as well as provide technical feasibility and estimates; create technical documents for software products using Visio, PowerPoint and Office
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
Qualifications:- Minimum five years of recent progressive experience developing software utilizing .NET technologies with minimum two years of recent experience as a lead
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related field is preferred; minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required
- Experience developing applications using ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET Web API (Restful APIs), Inversion of Control (IOC) containers with a strong understanding in responsive Web Application Development
- Experience in Azure cloud services like Azure SQL server, Azure App services, Data factory, function apps, and Azure service bus
- Ability to plan, lead, and organize complex deliverables that provide options for an organization to make decisions against
