Position Summary:The
Lead Electrical Design Engineer - Power & Control Systems designs and supports industrial power distribution and control systems, including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system documentation. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, code-compliant engineering solutions while supporting manufacturing, project execution, and continuous system improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop electrical power distribution and control systems for industrial applications
- Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering specifications, and bills of materials
- Support both new product development efforts and modifications to existing systems
- Ensure engineering designs comply with applicable electrical codes, standards, and internal design practices
- Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing, operations, and production personnel
- Maintain organized engineering documentation, drawing revisions, and configuration records
- Collaborate with project teams from order release through manufacturing and final delivery
- Monitor project schedules and support timely completion of engineering deliverables
- Participate in engineering reviews, technical discussions, and project coordination meetings
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve system performance, reliability, and design efficiency
Required Qualifications- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE required)
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical engineering or power systems design
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Experience with industrial control components including relays, breakers, contactors, and metering devices
- Working knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens PLC experience preferred)
- Proficiency using AutoCAD Electrical (current version)
- Strong understanding of electrical wiring practices, integration methods, and equipment layout
- Familiarity with applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Experience working with electromechanical systems and integrated equipment
