The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-time Supervisory Lead Educator (NH-1740-03) to work for Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the 72 ABW, at Tinker Air Force Base located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Education Services Specialist - planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over non-supervisory employees assigned to the Education Services Element of the Education and Training Section. Promotes and supports long-range Air Force goals for maintaining a high-quality force, and enhancing professional and personal development, technical, managerial, and leadership abilities, recruitment, retention, and readiness to Air Force personnel. The program provides excellent, cost-effective educational opportunities - from basic skills through graduate level degrees - through its tuition assistance, testing, counseling services, academic, formal training, on-the-job, and professional military education. Ability to plan, organize, lead functions, mentor and motivate the staff of an organization. 2. Extensive knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing. 3. Master knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance. 4. Extensive knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition., supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas. 5. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, and maintain good working relations with all individuals and organizations. 6. Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution. 7. Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required. 8. Ability to utilize AoP concepts and initiatives to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of an organization.
