  • Job Description Summary
    This position will be a key leader position within the Healthcare Affordability team driving execution and operations to bring value within the organization. This role will report directly to the Executive Director, Affordability Program Management and be responsible for supporting operations and strategy development within the team, as well as positioning within the Aetna organization. Supports the overall operations by assisting in the planning, execution, and successful completion of projects and workstreams. Provides input and feedback regarding overall operations and strategy and is focused on delivery and execution. This individual contributor role blends expertise in stakeholder engagement and collaboration, operations and strategy, project management, and analytics.
    Role Responsibilities: Develop support models and operations for reporting out team activity and summaries for executive committees. Will work closely with the Lead Director of Operational Analytics as well as the Lead Director of Process to identify reporting and operational gaps and will work to provide solutions and implement Must be well versed and comfortable working with clinical data Work with analytic teams to develop progress and score reports for initiatives within the affordability purview Will develop a risk identification and mitigation reporting process to be shared to executive leadership on overall program and project progress Will assist in the development and promotion of workstream report outs Will coordinate analytic needs with business teams to support the Strategists' ideation process Will create executive summaries and presentations to be shared up through the VP of Affordability Must be able to collaborate and build relationships with like leaders within the CVS enterprise to build out capability and support models in affordability. Has a strong, project management and execution focused personality Manage and coordinate support and materials across ideation, analytics, execution and delivery processes within affordability. Analyzes the organization's project management practices, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance project efficiency and success. Approves project plans, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and stakeholder expectations. Attends project meetings and collaborates with multiple departments, fostering cross-functional collaboration and coordination to achieve project milestones. Communicates direction and project goals to the project team, providing clear guidance and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Conducts project evaluations and assessments, monitoring progress, identifying risks and issues, and taking corrective actions to keep projects on track. Consolidates information from various sources, synthesizing project data and insights to provide comprehensive reports and updates to stakeholders. Lead strategic discussions with business units, platform teams, operations, vendors, and external partners to gather insights and guide clinical system requirements.
  • Required Qualifications:
    7-12 years of direct healthcare experience in a large payor system with experience in project management, healthcare operations or strategy
    Strong project management skills, project planning, milestone and constituent management skills
    Ability to be an individual contributor with a comfort for deep hands-on work and the ability to execute
    Adept at development, execution, and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills
    Adept at business intelligence, collaboration, and teamwork
    Mastery of problem solving, decision making, and growth mindset
    Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple complex priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
    Able to influence across clinical, operational, and IT teams.
    PowerPoint and presentation skills
    Preferred Qualifications
    Prior experience partnering with Medical Economics, Clinical Operations (UM/CM), or Population Health teams Healthcare analytics knowledge
    Experience working with any of the following a plus: Provider network, Clinical, Med Affairs
    Education
    Bachelor's Degree required - Masters Preferred


Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,540.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
