Full Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Audubon is currently seeking a Lead Designer to join our team in the Canonsburg, PA office. The Lead Designer will be responsible for leading design and drafting activities for assigned projects. Provides technical direction and guidance to designers and drafters and ensures that design deliverables are accurate, coordinated, constructible, and completed in accordance with project requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the development of plans, layouts, models, details, and construction documents.
  • Assign and coordinate work performed by designers and drafters.
  • Review drawings and design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and consistency.
  • Coordinate design activities with engineers, project managers, clients, vendors, and field personnel.
  • Identify design conflicts and support the development of practical solutions.
  • Monitor design progress, schedules, and deliverable requirements.
  • Support site visits, field verification, and preparation of as-built documentation.
  • Promote compliance with company, client, industry, and safety standards.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities:
