The Team

Our team is responsible for the technology data platforms that support Global Finance, ranging from Financial and Regulatory Reporting, Budgeting and Planning, and Control.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

This role would be data modeling and analytical solutions for the regulatory reporting automation and other initiatives that support the Finance and risk users. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders including business partners in Global Finance and Risk; Business analyst, Architects, and infrastructure and support to understand business requirements and drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions that best support the business need.

Some of the key accountabilities include:
  • Gather requirements, design and build new features
  • Collaborate with the product owner, project manager and other apploication teams
  • Data mapping and ETL Pipeline Design, collaborate with the data engineers for the automation solutions
  • Experience of Axiom SL V9/10/11 - Hands on experience with Axiom data models/ schemas/ portfolios, tabular/Freeform reports and workflows to support complex data governance and transformation requirements.
  • Ensure best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of the applications
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
  • Excellent understanding of developer life cycle and enterprise developer tools

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Master's degree considered as an asset.

Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in data modeling, analytics and data management within financial services
  • Proven experience owning business data definitions, data backlog, prioritizing deliverables by business ROI, and translating complex platform data into business-ready reporting assets through detailed requirement documentation (PRDs/BRDs) and source-to-target data mappings
  • Demonstrated ability to enable and coach non-technical stakeholders to self-serve data responsibly, with strong stakeholder management skills partnering across Technology Teams, Operations, Technology Controls
  • Strong understanding of banking products, Financial Accounting; Finance Datawarehouse design and working with regulatory reporting teams.
  • Experience with OFSAA, IFRS17, OSFI reporting, or related regulatory frameworks preferred.


Technical Skills
  • Solid grasp of relational data modelling tools (e.g. ERWin), schema design, and Master Data Management; familiarity with AI/ML concepts is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of Data Stage ETL tool.
  • Proficiency in other tools (e.g. Python NumPy/Panda, Spark framework) Data mapping and ETL Pipeline Design and build, collaboration with Engineers on Data integration and transformation, analysis, testing and automation.
  • Strong knowledge of Axiom SL v9/10/11
  • Advanced Oracle SQL on data extraction, indexing and performance tuning
  • Hands-on familiarity with data analysis on Data Lake Platform
  • DevOps - BitBucket, Azure Pipelines
  • Familiarity with Agile and SDLC methodologies - JIRA / Confluence
