Position summary

We are seeking a Lead Cost Integration Engineer, PSDS to strengthen PSDS cost integration and study execution across active vehicle programs. This role will be responsible for ensuring PSDS-related studies are properly costed, coordinated, and completed in alignment with program timing and engineering needs. The person in this role will work closely with PPCO, Harness DREs, Lead DREs, and cross-functional teams to develop accurate study costs, support cost walks, and help establish the correct initial program cost position. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in wire harness, PSDS, and vehicle electrical systems, along with practical cost understanding, strong coordination skills, and the ability to drive technical work across multiple stakeholders. This is a hands-on technical execution role intended to improve cost accuracy, increase study responsiveness, and strengthen cost discipline across programs.

Primary responsibilities
  • Own coordination and execution of PSDS cost studies across active programs
  • Work directly with PPCO and Harness DREs to ensure studies are costed accurately and completed on time
  • Support development, review, and alignment of study assumptions, BOM impacts, and costing inputs
  • Lead and support PSDS cost walks for program changes, integration impacts, and study outcomes
  • Partner with the Lead DRE to ensure the initial program cost position is accurate, aligned, and supported by the right technical content
  • Track open studies, pending actions, blockers, and required follow-up to maintain execution timing
  • Help ensure cost impacts are clearly understood across design, integration, and program teams
  • Coordinate cross-functional reviews to align on study content, assumptions, and final cost position
  • Escalate gaps, delays, or misalignments early when they risk cost accuracy or program timing
  • Improve standard work, operating rhythm, and accountability related to PSDS study costing and cost integration
  • Provide clear updates to leadership and stakeholders on study status, open issues, risks, and recovery plans

Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience
  • 5+ years working with technical cost studies, cost analysis, or program cost integration
  • 3+ years in wire harness, PSDS, electrical architecture, or related vehicle electrical systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work across engineering, cost, and program stakeholders
  • Strong communication, follow-through, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple studies and actions simultaneously in a fast-paced engineering environment
  • Proven ability to identify issues, drive closure, and maintain momentum on critical deliverables
  • Ability to translate technical changes into clear cost impacts, actions, and decisions

Preferred qualifications
  • Direct experience working with PPCO and Harness DREs on study costing
  • Experience supporting cost walks and program cost reviews
  • Familiarity with PSDS cost drivers, harness content changes, and vehicle integration cost impacts
  • Experience supporting initial program cost development or cost baseline alignment
  • Working knowledge of design change management, issue tracking, and engineering review processes
  • Experience supporting execution across multiple programs or product lines
  • Strong judgment in identifying when assumptions need escalation or additional technical review
