Qualifications

• 10+ years of field experience in heavy civil tunnel projects; 20+ years preferred.
• Experience working with a heavy civil contractor with an underground portfolio is desirable.
• Familiarity with cost estimating and pricing work.
• Knowledge of construction claims or change order pricing.
• Accredited degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Professional registration or certification desirable within the first year.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in software applications.
• Experience in specification writing and review.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost estimation efforts for complex civil, structural, and tunnel projects.
• Manage a team of cost estimators to ensure accurate and timely estimates.
• Perform and supervise comprehensive cost estimating efforts including conceptual and production-based estimates.
• Provide risk assessment input to quantify project risks effectively.
• Review design drawings for potential constructability issues.
• Evaluate specifications for cost-related matters and ensure adherence to performance standards.
• Conduct QA reviews of estimating work completed by others.
