Responsibilities

Lead Carpenter - $40/Hour

Paul Davis Restoration of Southwest Montana - Belgrade, MT
Full-Time | $40/hour | Year-Round Work

We're looking for a standout-a highly skilled Lead Carpenter who takes ownership, leads from the front, and gets the job done right

You know your craft, take pride in your work, solve problems, and don't need someone standing over your shoulder.

Winter is coming-and we'll still be working Restoration is year-round, and we're looking for someone who wants steady work through every season.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and perform residential reconstruction and carpentry work
  • Handle framing, drywall, trim, doors, windows, cabinets, flooring, and finish work
  • Read plans, scopes, and job specifications
  • Plan daily work and material needs
  • Lead and mentor carpenters and laborers
  • Keep projects moving and maintain clean, professional jobsites
  • Communicate progress and issues with the Project Manager
  • Take ownership of quality and field execution

This is a working Lead Carpenter position. You'll have tools in your hands while also keeping the crew organized and the project moving.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong residential carpentry, remodeling, and finish skills
  • Experience independently running residential projects
  • Experience leading other tradespeople
  • Ability to read plans and scopes and plan work
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Reliability, accountability, and professional communication
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Restoration experience is a plus, but strong carpentry skills and the ability to run a job are more important

Compensation & Benefits

$40/hour - Full-Time, Year-Round

  • 80 hours PTO annually
  • 120 hours PTO annually after 36 months
  • 6 paid holidays
