Overview

The Lead Business Systems Analyst will contribute to, produce, and manage client deliverables relative to our multi-channel marketing engagements, serving as a liaison between client staff and internal technical delivery teams. The Lead Business Systems Analyst will work to understand the business needs and translate those into workable solutions, ensuring accurate and timely delivery and participating in all phases of the systems development life cycle.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in multiple business systems analysis disciplines (marketing, reporting, operations, data, interactive, QA or digital)
  • Support and coordinate the marketing campaign, reporting and database processes and associated tasks such as requirements, functional specification and other client documentation
  • Support and coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing, and associated activities such as test plan, test cases and test execution
  • Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems
  • Support and coordinate Change Management initiatives
  • Support and coordinate Issue Management events from identification through resolution
  • Manage and prioritize project work streams with input from the client and internal client services teams.
  • Able to prioritize work and shift priorities as needed to meet aggressive deadlines and milestones.
  • Able to assess a situation, receive input from stakeholders, and select a course of action
  • Able to clearly communicate and articulate, both written and verbally, detailed specifications (e.g., project requirements, requested changes, and testing results)
  • Is effective working with local, remote and global team members.
  • Able to assemble, analyze and evaluate data and be able to make appropriate and well-reasoned recommendations and decisions to support the business, its marketing objectives, and internal project teams
  • Able to create and update specs/documents, and assess completeness of requirements information received

Qualifications

Technical Knowledge
  • Solid understanding of Relational Database Management Systems
  • Strong in SQL and able to navigate a client database solution to support data analysis and testing Working knowledge of campaign management/execution tools (IBM Campaign, Adobe Campaign, etc.) is a plus
  • Working knowledge of marketing concepts and end-to-end marketing execution
  • Experience with, and understanding of, all phases of the SDLC
  • Familiarity with AI and generative AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) and their practical application in requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and process improvement.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project

Relevant experience may include some or all of the following:

  • Has performed basic BSA tasks within the SDLC process.
  • Has supported Change Management and Issue Management.
  • Has had experience consulting with external client contacts.
  • Has experience working in a service organization. Has contributed to or authored client deliverables.
  • Has maintained project/account documentation.
  • Has created operational, campaign or business reports.
  • Has worked with technical staff to design and implement technical solutions.

Experience
  • Requires 8 years of related experience
  • At this level, postgraduate coursework may be desirable

Education
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred

Compensation Range: USD $73,150.00 - USD $101,010.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
