Job Description

WHY: The purpose of this role is supporting this diverse technical organization by managing business processes, communications, and culture as we move into an exciting future.

WHAT: As Lead Business Planner, you will serve as the strategic leader and coach, guiding the business planning team and partnering with senior leadership to ensure clarity, alignment, and effective execution across the organization.

HOW: Supporting the leaders and the broader organization to make it happen for our plants and customers.

Work Arrangement - Onsite

The successful candidate is expected to report to the Warren Tech Center on a full-time basis. This role requires up to 10% domestic and international travel.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Lead and mentor a team of business planners, setting priorities, providing guidance, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Partner with the Global Manufacturing Electrical & SDV Director to organize and run the business including All People Meetings, events, and special assignments
  • Maintain and evolve the business planning strategy including the Business Plan Deployment (BPD) and internal business processes for the organization
  • Oversee management of multiple budgets (operations, capital, people)
  • Develop and deliver presentations for all levels of leadership
  • Foster a forward-thinking, people-first work culture that embraces change and navigates future organizational and industry challenges.
  • Build and nurture strategic relationships across various functions including software, manufacturing, and program management to synergize efforts towards future innovations.

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • 5 years of experience related to Manufacturing processes, project management, or business operations
  • Proven ability to articulate visionary concepts effectively and communicate professionally and concisely to all levels of leadership
  • Demonstrated project management prowess, with an understanding of future automotive systems and the evolution of automotive technologies.
  • Strong leadership skills with a passion for developing and mentoring others, fostering collaboration, and building high-performing teams
  • Start-up mentality - be tenacious, adaptable, and curious. Lead projects through the entire creative lifecycle, from ideation to implementation.
