Full Job Description

The Lead Business Analyst is responsible for maintaining contract catalogs, vendor documentation, and operational data that support the Group Purchasing Organization's contracting team and participants. This role performs detailed data analysis, invoice processing and validation, and financial research to identify and resolve variances and discrepancies that support operational performance and strategic business objectives. The position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight, seeking advanced technical guidance when necessary. The Analyst supports the Senior Manager, Analytics in addressing participant needs, contract-related changes, reporting requirements, and operational initiatives. Success in this role requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy, accountability, and professionalism.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain daily product catalog updates, including verification and validation of entries through the local portal.

  • Conduct data analysis, payment invoicing, and financial variance and discrepancy research to support operational and strategic business objectives.

  • Support the Director, Account Management with participant One-Time Buy requests, including validation, communication, and issue resolution.

  • Support the contracting team during the biannual generic bid process through data management, reporting, and operational support.

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance reports that provide actionable insights to management and support informed business decisions.

  • Assist in the standardization, optimization, and automation of reporting and analytical processes to improve the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of information.

  • Communicate analytical findings, reporting results, and business insights to internal leadership, manufacturers, wholesalers, and GPO participants.

  • Partner directly with external customers, suppliers, and participants to investigate and resolve issues related to payments, reporting, contract administration, and operational processes.

  • Support ad hoc projects, analyses, and strategic initiatives as assigned by the Senior Manager, Analytics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.

  • Previous experience in contracting, procurement, healthcare, GPO operations, or a related field preferred.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and financial research skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and drive results with minimal supervision.

  • Highly collaborative team player with a continuous improvement mindset and commitment to operational excellence.

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
