Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in production Android application development
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and contemporary Android practices
• Experience with UI design using Jetpack Compose and/or XML-based views
• Ability to design and maintain complex Android architectures (e.g., MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture)
• Solid grasp of Android fundamentals, including lifecycle management and performance optimization
• Experience in integrating networked APIs with robust error handling
• Proven track record of overseeing Android features from design through testing and release
• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable Bumble app features using GCP services.
• Drive individual product features from inception to delivery, managing the full software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers and Designers to ship new features.
• Evaluate and implement AI-based tools to boost productivity and code quality.
• Lead discussions on software architecture and propose long-term technical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers by providing guidance through pair programming and code reviews.
• Establish engineering standards and best practices to ensure high-quality code.
