Full Job Description
As a Lead Analytics Developer, you'll work in our cross-disciplinary engineering team to scale our platform, expand its reach, and help define and build the future of analytics for PlayStation games. You should have a passion for video games and a background in data or analytics engineering. You're looking for a fun, dynamic environment to take on new challenges.

In your first six months, you will work on new title launches, and build data models to ensure efficient and consistent queries. To build these data models, you'll work directly with game studios and data analysts to design and validate suitable in-game telemetry. You'll also help expand our use of technologies, such as dbt and airflow, in ways that are suitable to our use cases. You will be given ownership of data models for specific games and work closely with Game Analytics team members and game studio colleagues to ensure we're building with consistency and performance in mind.

We'd love to hear from you if:
  • You are adept at writing SQL on analytics (OLAP) databases (preferably Redshift, or similar databases)
  • You have experience implementing and using data modelling tools such as dbt or SQLMesh
  • You have experience in transforming business needs into data model requirements & solutions
  • You're excited by Big Data projects and technology, and want to gain more experience in this area
  • You're committed to quality as a top priority, and have an interest in repeatable, testable, destructible, test-driven database development
  • Bonus points for:
    • a degree in Computer Science
    • experience with Python, AWS Glue, source control (Git, Liquibase), Airflow
    • familiarity with AAA game development and modern console games

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

This is a flexible role that can be remote, with varying pay ranges based on geographic location. For example, if you are based out of Seattle, the estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
