Nuveen is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented investment operations professional to fill the role of Lead Analyst, Operations Associate. This role sits within Nuveen Global Investment Operations, reporting to Vice President, Investment Operations. The candidate in this role will support strategic initiatives and transformation projects across the team, serving as a hands-on contributor with working knowledge of global equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, and OTC derivatives trading and operations. The Lead Analyst will support process improvement efforts, assist in the execution of automation and AI-enabled workflow enhancements, and help build and test new capabilities to support the growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities and Duties- Support senior team members in executing a portfolio of projects and strategic initiatives, with a focus on business analysis, testing, and implementation tasks.
- Collaborate with Trading, Technology, and Operations to conduct business requirements gathering, test case development, user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect tracking for strategic initiatives.
- Assist in executing transformation project tasks focused on deploying automation and AI technologies, including data validation, process mapping, and testing support.
- Support a risk management mindset by helping identify operational risks during testing and implementation, and by contributing to the development of standard operating procedures and remediation plans.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency and process improvement within assigned areas of Core Public Operations, and escalate recommendations to senior team members for evaluation and implementation.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource on equity, fixed income, FX, and derivatives operations, providing support to team members executing day-to-day operational tasks.
- Assist in triaging and documenting operational issues and production support escalations, escalating complex or high-risk items to senior staff as needed.
- Support the development of new operational capabilities by executing assigned tasks related to design, testing, and implementation of scalable solutions.
- Assist with operational due diligence tasks for new markets and new investment instruments, including research, documentation, and coordination of testing activities.
Educational Requirements- University (Degree) Preferred
Work Experience- 3+ Years Required; 5+ Years Preferred

Career Level 7IC
Required Skills:- 3 or more years of experience working in asset management, specifically in investment/trading operations
- 2 or more years of experience supporting FX and/or OTC derivatives
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple project workstreams and testing efforts simultaneously
- Experience contributing to enterprise transformational projects, including business analysis and testing
Preferred Skills:- Experience of global equity and fixed income trading
- Understanding of the derivatives trade lifecycle and support across bilateral, listed, and cleared derivatives trading workflows
- Understanding of Investment Management products (Pension funds, Mutual funds, Separate accounts)
- Experience with Bloomberg AIM or Charles River Investment Management System
- Experience working with outsourced service providers
- Managing detailed testing plans and tracking issues to resolution

Base Pay Range: $83,700/yr - $117,000/yr
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
