About the Job

This position is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) programs-from planning and scheduling through execution, compliance, and client reporting-while ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with regulatory requirements.

The LDAR Project Manager combines strong technical expertise in fugitive emissions monitoring with project leadership, team management, and customer engagement. This role serves as the primary liaison between field teams, customers, and operations leadership to ensure successful project delivery, regulatory compliance, and high-quality service execution.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Industrial settings including refineries, petrochemical plants, utilities, oil & gas facilities, and pulp & paper mills. Work may include both field and office responsibilities, with exposure to complex and physically demanding environments.

Project Management:

  • Plan, organize, and manage LDAR projects from kickoff through completion, ensuring alignment with contract scope, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Develop project schedules, staffing plans, and resource allocation to support efficient execution.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring profitability and operational success.
  • Review project specifications, regulatory requirements (e.g., 40 CFR Part 60/63), and site procedures.


LDAR Technical Oversight:

  • Oversee field inspections of valves, pumps, connectors, and process equipment to detect fugitive emissions (VOCs).
  • Ensure proper use, calibration, and maintenance of monitoring equipment such as TVA/FID analyzers and OGI cameras.
  • Validate field data quality, compliance reporting, and database management (e.g., LeakDAS, GuideWare, SkyBridge).
  • Coordinate and verify repair activities in collaboration with maintenance teams.


Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead, supervise, and mentor LDAR Technicians and field personnel
  • Ensure teams are properly trained, equipped, and compliant with safety and operational standards.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct field audits and performance evaluations to maintain quality standards.


Client & Account Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring clear communication and strong relationship management.
  • Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities, securing work, and contributing to revenue growth.
  • Monitor account performance and ensure customer KPIs and service expectations are met.
  • Lead customer meetings, business reviews, and reporting presentations.


Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure all LDAR activities comply with EPA regulations and site-specific environmental requirements.
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, hazard assessments, and job safety analyses.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for regulatory audits and inspections.


Data Management & Reporting:

  • Oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting related to emissions monitoring.
  • Ensure accurate tagging, tracking, and documentation of leaking components.
  • Prepare and present project status reports, compliance reports, and performance metrics.


Qualifications:
