About the RoleThis opportunity would suit a qualified lawyer with an interest in environmental or occupational health and safety law, or an Environmental, Health & Safety professional looking to build a career within a global regulatory compliance consultancy.
Working from the Nashville office, the successful candidate will support clients across a range of industries, helping them understand and respond to evolving environmental, health and safety regulations at both Federal and State level.
The role combines legal and regulatory research, client advisory support, compliance consulting and legislative monitoring, providing exposure to both US and international regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities- Research Federal and State EHS legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting client operations.
- Draft clear summaries and regulatory updates for client publication.
- Support the creation and maintenance of client-specific legal registers.
- Conduct site visits to identify EHS compliance obligations and operational risks.
- Respond to client enquiries regarding environmental, health and safety legislation.
- Maintain internal regulatory databases and compliance resources.
- Collaborate with US and international colleagues on client projects and consulting activities.
- Support the ongoing development of Red-on-line's regulatory compliance solutions.
RequirementsWe welcome applications from candidates with either a legal or environmental, health and safety background, including:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) qualification, ideally with a focus on environmental law, occupational health and safety, or regulatory compliance; or
- Master's degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
Candidates should also demonstrate:
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to interpret and explain complex regulatory requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- An interest in regulatory compliance and legislative monitoring.
- Fluency in English.
Previous compliance, consulting or EHS experience would be advantageous, although candidates with limited professional experience who can demonstrate a genuine interest in environmental, health and safety issues will also be considered.
