Responsibilities

  • Coordinate events associated with payload customer needs across programs and agencies.

  • Facilitate integration activities within the SE&I division and act as the focal point for leadership.
  • Produce communication data products for payload customers to streamline interactions.

Full Job Description
Support the advanced planning and payload processing development team with the development, integration, and requirements management of payload interfaces and services for the NASA Exploration Ground Systems program at KSC.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Systems Engineering, Systems Integration, Requirements, requirements management, Verification and Validation, Mobile Launcher, Planning, Communication, change management, subsystems, requirements closure, innovation, innovative thinking
  • Lead technical integration efforts and resolve conflicts as it relates to the cross-program and cross-agency requirements and services.
  • Lead the development and management of a specific Launch Site Support Plans for each payload being flown on the SLS vehicle.
  • Lead the requirement change process for payload customer requirements.
  • Lead planning and coordination of cross-program and agency events associated with payload customer needs.
  • Assist the Advanced Planning and Payload Integration Manager and Launch Site Integration Manager on complex agency mission assessment and broadly scoped trade studies.
  • Support technical integration of the SE&I division, facilitate integration activities for the SE&I division.
  • Support/Lead coordination activities for the SE&I division, acting as integration focal for Division Chief and Deputy Division Chief.
  • Lead technical forums in support of cross-program and agency technical interchange meetings.
  • Support development of internal communication data products for payload customers.
  • Support Space Launch System Program mission dependent equipment milestones to ensure successful cross-program integration occurs.
  • Participate in technical and management review boards
  • Serve as the substitute Launch Site Integration Manager at technical forums and boards
  • Ability to obtain an understanding of the process used to develop program planning budgets, technical data packages, payload "baseball cards", etc. for payload processing at KSC.
  • Support Systems engineering assessments for payload customer requirements development
  • Provide formal reports and requirement closure data for requirements burn-down metrics to the program
  • Lead document change package engineers with writing, reviewing, and presenting systems engineering documents
  • Present recommendations for requirements management improvements or process streamlining
  • Communicate and coordinate activities with NASA customers, contract management, and supporting stakeholders


Minimum Requirements

  • NASA Experience
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • MS Office; PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • Must be a self-starter who is capable of working independently with minimal direction yet is also comfortable working in a team environment


Education and Relevant Work Experience

BA/BS degree and 2 years of related work experience.
