Large Project Superintendent

Skillforce has teamed up with one of the leading commercial fence companies to find a Large Project Superintendent to oversee commercial construction projects from start to finish out of their Chantilly, VA office. This is a full-time position with this company.

This role is responsible for coordinating field operations, managing project schedules, and serving as the primary liaison between internal departments, subcontractors, and general contractors to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Large Project SuperintendentResponsibilities
  • Manage and dispatch field crews to multiple project sites.
  • Coordinate activities between general contractors, field teams, installation crews, purchasing, and sales departments.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure schedules, budgets, and quality standards are achieved.
  • Conduct regular site visits to oversee construction activities and address project challenges.
  • Attend and participate in on-site progress meetings as the company representative.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure accurate execution of work.
  • Communicate project updates, schedule changes, and resource needs to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction throughout all phases of construction.

Large Project Superintendent Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of commercial construction experience.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects and field personnel.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with construction scheduling and project coordination.
