Your Impact Starts Here - As a Laboratory Technical Lead - High Complexity Soils, you will lead geotechnical laboratory operations and act as the technical authority for high complexity soils. You will guide advanced testing, mentor staff, and ensure high-quality, compliant results that support critical infrastructure and development projects.

Your Impact
  • Lead geotechnical laboratory operations, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Serve as the SME for high complexity soils, guiding testing and interpretation
  • Oversee laboratory testing programs (soil, aggregates, asphalt, concrete) following ASTM, CSA, AASHTO, and CCIL standards
  • Review and validate complex geotechnical data and technical reports
  • Maintain QA/QC processes, lab certifications, and calibration records
  • Support project delivery including budgeting, reporting, and client coordination
  • Mentor junior and intermediate staff, fostering technical growth
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
  • Participate in audits, correlation programs, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Build strong client relationships and collaborate across WSP teams

Compensation

BC, AB, SK, NWT & NT: $93,000 - $118,000
MB & ON: $90,000 - $115,000
Atlantic Provinces & QC: $88,000 - $110,000
