Job Summary

The Laboratory Partnership Manager (LPM) is responsible for managing and enhancing LabConnect's laboratory partnerships to ensure strategic alignment, operational excellence, and clinical trial testing integrity. Leveraging strong scientific, technical, and operational expertise, the LPM drives laboratory partner engagement, performance management, and technical oversight to support high-quality service delivery in support of client programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the liaison between LabConnect and other assigned partner laboratories, acting as a the primary point of contact for both laboratory partners and internal stakeholders.


  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative laboratory relationships that drive mutual growth, operational efficiency, and support business objectives.


  • Manage partner laboratory engagement, compliance, and performance accountability, including identifying areas for continuous improvement.


  • Conduct governance and meetings with partner laboratories to assess compliance, KPIs, service delivery, and harmonization initiatives.


  • Assess operational, service, and partnership risks and provide recommendations to leadership to support mitigation, continuity, and performance improvement.


  • Maintain vendor information and any associated testing information and documentation as applicable for assigned laboratories


  • Provide technical oversight to support clinical trial testing, particularly in clinical chemistry and hematology.


  • Partner with Scientific Services, Client Services, Data Management, Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), Finance, Quality Assurance, and other departments as necessary to support efficient laboratory oversight, study implementation readiness, onboarding, or service escalations related to global laboratory services.


  • Support escalation pathways for technical issues or client concerns and provide scientifically sound guidance and resolutions.


  • Collaborate on cross-functional process improvement initiatives such as LIMS integration, critical reporting standardization, and future-state automation.


  • Lead and coordinate implementation of new or updated processes between LabConnect and partner laboratories, including coordination of dry runs or other readiness activities as needed to ensure effectiveness, identify issues, and confirm readiness.


  • Work cohesively with team member to foster a high-performing, accountable, and solutions-oriented team culture


  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related health field discipline required; advanced degree preferred.


  • 5+ years relevant industry experience; Bench level technical experience preferred.


  • Proven experience in laboratory vendor management, client-facing roles, and clinical testing oversight.


Skills and Ability

  • Strong knowledge of clinical laboratory operations, central laboratory services, and support of clinical trials required.


  • Strong scientific and technical understanding of laboratory testing methodologies, instrumentation, and IQ/OQ/PQ processes.


  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively across internal functions and external partner organizations required.


  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make clear, strategic recommendations.


  • Experience with regional area regulatory requirements (CLIA, CAP, NY State, IVDR) Knowledge of CLSI guidelines and global laboratory operational standards.


  • Excellent organizational, project management, and multi-tasking abilities, with a strong sense of urgency to meet timelines.


  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective cross-functional and external collaboration.


  • Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders through data-driven recommendations.
