PathGroup is seeking an experienced AP/CP Board-Certified Pathologist to serve as a Laboratory Medical Director (LMD) at our partner hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Key Responsibilities:- Serve as Laboratory Medical Director for hospital-based pathology and laboratory operations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies (CAP, CLIA, Joint Commission)
- Provide clinical oversight for transfusion services, hematology, microbiology, chemistry
- Sign-out of general surgical pathology and cytopathology cases
- Participate actively in quality improvement, hospital committees, and multidisciplinary case discussions
- Foster collaboration and communication between laboratory services, clinicians, and hospital leadership
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- AP/CP Board Certification required
- Eligible for Indiana medical license
- Previous experience in a medical directorship or strong leadership capacity preferred
- Excellent diagnostic, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Strong commitment to laboratory quality, continuous improvement, and clinical service
- *If the laboratory is testing samples for New York State, you must hold a New York Certificate of Qualification (CQ) in at least one category of testing offered by the laboratory
