Role OverviewThe Laboratory Equipment Calibration & Qualification Engineer will serve as the technical backbone of our laboratory infrastructure, ensuring that all instruments and equipment perform to their validated specifications. This is not a managerial position; it is a direct, hands-on role that requires deep technical expertise and a proactive approach to equipment performance management.
RequirementsEducation and Experience- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of direct, hands-on experience in laboratory equipment maintenance, qualification, and calibration.
- Proven experience within a pharmaceutical or biotech environment, with a strong working knowledge of cGMP standards and laboratory quality system requirements.
- Demonstrated proficiency with a wide range of laboratory instruments, calibration tools, and specialized calibration software.
Skills- Technical Troubleshooting: Strong technical and troubleshooting skills across a diverse range of laboratory instruments, with the ability to diagnose and resolve both mechanical and software-related failures efficiently and effectively.
- Documentation Excellence: Exceptional documentation and record-keeping abilities, ensuring that all calibration, maintenance, and qualification activities are recorded with the accuracy and completeness required for regulatory audits and internal reviews.
- Communication and Vendor Management: Effective communication skills combined with proven vendor management experience, enabling seamless coordination with external service providers and clear alignment with internal cross-functional stakeholders.
- Independent and Collaborative Work Style: Demonstrated ability to manage a complex personal workload with minimal supervision while contributing meaningfully to cross-functional team projects involving quality assurance, facilities, and research and development.
- On-Site Readiness: Ability to work effectively in an on-site laboratory environment.
