Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for an attorney with 2–4 years of experience to join the Labor & Employment Practice in our San Diego office. GT is consistently among the top firms on the Am Law Global 100; the Labor & Employment Associate will have the opportunity to work with a sophisticated client base, including employers across a wide range of industries, on litigation, counseling, and compliance matters involving California and federal employment law.

Job Requirements

Qualified candidates will have strong interpersonal, writing and analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and the desire and initiative to "take ownership" over work and career. Litigation experience is important, and wage and hour substantive background is a plus. Practice includes employment class and individual litigation, unfair competition, and representing employers with respect to employment discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, leaves of absence, employee accommodations, personnel policies, wage and hour compliance, and employment agreements, along with other labor and employment issues. Interest in traditional labor and experience in practicing before the National Labor Relations Board is also desired but not required.  The candidate must have strong academic credentials and be a member of the California State Bar.

The expected pay range for this position is:

$235,000 to $320,000 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401K, vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program.  Additional voluntary programs include:  voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary critical illness and cancer insurance and pet insurance.  Commuter and Transit programs may also be available in certain markets.
