About the job you're consideringThe Lab Manager is responsible for leading and scaling enterprise lab environments supporting retail technology, IoT devices, and pre-production validation. This role ensures lab readiness, infrastructure stability, and efficient execution of hardware testing while acting as the central operational bridge across engineering, product, and vendor teams.
Your role- Own and manage day-to-day lab operations, ensuring environments are stable, organized, and ready for engineering use
- Maintain and optimize lab infrastructure including servers, racks, networking, cabling, and device ecosystems
- Oversee end-to-end hardware lifecycle management (intake, configuration, deployment, tracking, and decommissioning)
- Enable hardware validation by reproducing, diagnosing, and documenting system-level issues
- Prepare and support lab environments for testing, including device setup, connectivity, and integration workflows
- Coordinate cross-functionally with engineering, program management, vendors, and field teams for seamless execution
- Establish standardized processes, runbooks, and continuous improvements to drive operational efficiency and scalability
Your skills and experience- Proven experience in lab operations, hardware infrastructure, or systems engineering environments
- Strong knowledge of hardware lifecycle management and configuration control
- Hands-on exposure to IoT, networking, or distributed hardware systems
- Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and system-level issues in a lab setting
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, product, and external vendor teams
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills supporting concurrent programs and testing cycles
- Expertise in documenting processes, standardizing workflows, and improving operational efficiency
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $73,150 - $174,000.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
