Location: Jeffersonville, Indiana
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Employment: Full-Time
Salary: $80,000-$90,000 annually
Position Summary
Get Well Health Systems is seeking an experienced Lab Manager (MLT/MT) to oversee daily laboratory operations in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The Lab Manager will provide clinical and operational leadership, ensure accurate and timely laboratory testing, maintain regulatory compliance, and support a high-performing laboratory team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily laboratory operations, staffing, scheduling, and workflow.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate laboratory personnel.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality laboratory testing.
- Maintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, OSHA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Develop and maintain laboratory policies, procedures, and quality-control programs.
- Monitor quality assurance and proficiency-testing activities.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, inventory, and vendor relationships.
- Investigate and resolve quality, safety, and operational issues.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, administration, and other departments.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and records for inspections and audits.
- Promote patient safety, infection control, and laboratory best practices.
Qualifications
- MLT or MT/MLS certification from an accredited organization preferred/required based on applicable laboratory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field preferred.
- Previous laboratory supervisory or management experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory operations, quality control, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
