Raytheon Engineering designs, produces, and builds new technologies and enhances existing capabilities to solve our customer's most complex challenges. The Apertures and Radio Frequency Department is a team of engineers responsible for electrical design and development of RF products within Raytheon. Our charter is to provide expertise in sub-systems engineering, RF and radome design, digital apertures, antenna ranges and module test.
The Lab Lead shall ensure lab personnel operate to standard lab run rules and applicable RF & Microelectronics policies within the lab, ensuring compliance with Safety, Quality controls, 6S, FOD/FOE, Equipment Calibration, Raytheon Property controls, ESD controls, Housekeeping, Shelf-life Controls, Preventative Maintenance, and Ergonomics
This position is an onsite role, located in McKinney, TX.
What You Will Do- Lab Operating Procedure (LOP) Management; provide direction for lab users on established policies
- Management coordination and implementation of Environmental Health Safety and Sustainment
- Property & Metrology Management including maintenance of equipment service contracts and ongoing equipment repairs
- Perform cost analysis, ensure task completion within approved budgets
- Perform lab purchase requests through SAP, SRM, and Vallen, while providing process support to Supply Chain Management (SCM)
- Oversee audit/assessment preparation. Overseeing Engineering Lab Objective Evaluation and Voluntary Protection Program; develop corrective action plans and assist in the development of long-range objectives, including engineering customer goals
- Safeguarding of classified/proprietary material, hardware, and documentation, utilizing defense material/property under Export Administration Regulations
- Develop and implement communication plans, providing consulting support to functional and engineering customer management
- Work to influence stakeholders within and outside responsible areas at an operational level regarding policies, practices, and procedures
- Work autonomously with limited oversight; provide professional input, guidance, and problem solving
- This position requires some physical exertion while standing, sitting, or walking, working outside
- Local travel in the general area may be required, with occasional travel outside the local area
Qualifications You Must Have- Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience to include any combination of the following.
- Experience in an engineering lab environment area overseeing or implementing safety, security, compliance and/or property management.
- Experience with coordination and implementation of Environmental Health Safety and Sustainment
Qualifications We Prefer- Strong mechanical and/or electrical/electronic skills
- Experience with OSHA/NFPA industrial policies and regulations
- Experience with working directly with engineers, technicians and leadership in an engineering lab environment in the areas of safety, security, compliance and property management
- Experience with EHS, NISPOM, JAFAN and Foreign Object Elimination
- Ability to organize and track Capital and Expense assets
- Ability to build positive, lasting relationships with customers
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
