Legal Administrative Assistant
? Washington, DC (Hybrid)
? Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000+ annually
We are seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant (LAA) to join a busy and collaborative Law firm in Washington, DC.

Schedule
  • Hybrid schedule: 3 days in the DC office, 2 days remote
  • Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
What You'll Do
  • Provide high-level administrative and legal support to attorneys within the Litigation Practice Group
  • Prepare, revise, format, and proofread complex legal documents, testimony, briefs, pleadings, and correspondence
  • Create and manage document tables, hyperlinks, styles, and authorities in Microsoft Word
  • Assist with court filings
  • Handle intricate billing processes, including time entry and allocation among multiple attorneys and matters
  • Coordinate attorney calendars, meetings, travel, and expenses as needed
  • Manage document production, filing, and matter organization
  • Work closely with another Legal Administrative Assistant to support the group's overall needs and ensure seamless coverage
Qualifications
Required
  • Prior experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant, Legal Secretary, or similar law firm support professional
  • Advanced Microsoft Word skills, including:

About the Team
This highly collaborative Practice Group consists of:
  • 6 Partners
  • 4 Associates
  • 2 Paralegal
  • 2 Legal Administrative Assistants
While this position will have primary attorney assignments, both LAAs work together to support the entire practice group, making teamwork, flexibility, and a positive attitude essential to success.

Physical Requirements • Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations • Work is generally performed sitting, talking, hearing, and typing • This is a high-volume screen-based role, requiring constant, prolonged computer usage, including but not limited to: reviewing documents, managing visual content, and attending virtual meetings • Visual acuity required for computer use, data analysis, and extended reading • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and document handling • Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching • Ability to lift and carry items weighting up to 15 pounds
