Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:

The Aveva PI Systems Specialist role will contribute to the achievement of Terminal's goals and strategies through the effective utilization of Terminal applications. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, collaboration, and a commitment to exceptional customer service for Terminals and business partners. Responsibilities include providing technical support, understanding stakeholder needs, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts for Terminal-managed applications. The position helps improve system and service efficiency and supports the organization's overall success. This position will be located in Findlay, OH.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and maintain Aveva PI Asset Framework, PI Vision displays, PI tags, and PI connections using P&IDs to help stakeholders analyze operations, resolve issues, optimize processes, and support project design.
  • Support terminal maintenance and growth by contributing to modernization strategies, long-term market competitiveness, Management of Change processes, terminal projects, and Digital roadmap initiatives.
  • Monitor and maintain Aveva PI to support reliable, optimal system performance.
  • Maintain system-related procedures, standards, and training documentation.
  • Use and interpret PI terminal data to support the development and training of terminal operations personnel.
  • Communicate system enhancements, outages, upcoming changes, and significant accomplishments.
  • Analyze and present data using Aveva PI, complex SQL queries, and related solutions to identify trends, issues, and opportunities.
  • Apply analytical and critical-thinking skills to interpret information from multiple data sources and help stakeholders achieve key results.
  • Collaborate on PI-related matters with Terminal Operations, CMD, TEPAC, Measurements, PQ, Environmental, Electronic Services, Transportation, Refining, Pipeline, and other business partners.
  • Partner with Digital and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve system and data issues.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, other related discipline required.
  • Two (2) years of related experience required.
  • Preferred experience configuring Aveva PI Vision.
  • Preferred knowledge or experience with terminal loading rack equipment, including Scully overfill protection, vapor recovery or combustion systems, flow control tuning, meter proving, additive injector calibration, dry break operations, driver interface entry devices, and load rack truck refueling processes.
  • Preferred knowledge of communication driver applications, such as Kepware.
  • Strong critical-thinking skills in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Experience with PLC programming, Tableau and/or Power BI, SQL, Python, or PowerShell is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Visio.
