Kuwait Base Manager - C-17

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Kuwait Base Manager to join our team at Al Mubarak AB, Kuwait.

This is a long-term expatriate position based 100% on-site at Al Mubarak AB, Kuwait. Relocation/assignment benefits to the international location will be provided. Ability to meet international assignment health requirements required. If accompanied, family must also meet international assignment health requirements.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Managing Field Service employees performing technical or specialist activities at Al Mubarak AB, Kuwait, including customer or supplier facilities
  • Develops and executes customer support strategies and tactics to support customer commitments, gain competitive advantage, and foster business growth
  • Directs post-sale coordination of technical and administrative support activities including installation, troubleshooting, problem resolution, test, repair, engineering change improvements, and preventive maintenance to be performed at the customer's site
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies
  • Acquires and leverages resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes
  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees
  • Control Account Manager for site program that is valued at over $40 million dollars

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Experience supporting military/defense programs
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with C-17 platform

  • Candidate must be able to meet the cultural requirements of the country, as applicable.
  • Employment is contingent on the candidate's ability to satisfy all labor and immigration formalities of the country.
  • Because the candidate selected will be expected to go on an international assignment, the offer will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to obtain clearances from International Health Services and the receipt of a visa/work permit to the country in which he or she will be assigned. These contingencies also apply to any/all family members who may be relocating with the candidate.
