About the Role

The Knowledge Management Lawyer (US AI / Copyright Litigation) is an integral part of Latham’s Knowledge Management team. This role will be responsible for managing the creation, organization, and delivery of substantive knowledge assets for Latham’s AI and Copyright Litigation Practice (the “Practice”), while, in coordination with the Practice Chairs, and with assistance from attorneys in the Practice, monitoring current legal, regulatory, and market practice developments for the Practice, as well as championing the adoption of AI tools and innovative technology across all aspects of the team’s work. This role will be located in either our New York, Washington, D.C., or San Francisco office.Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

• Identifying, collecting, and organizing work product for the Practice, including anonymizing work product for copyright- and AI-related guidance
• Monitoring, tracking, organizing, and assimilating activity across AI and copyright cases, regulations, and regulatory actions
• Drafting and maintaining frequently used client-facing materials
• Drafting and maintaining internal 9best-of9 and 9best-practice9 resources
• Developing substantive training materials and providing substantive training to attorneys, as well as more general training on KM resources
• Responding to queries regarding and supporting AI and copyright lawyers in connection with client and industry engagement
• Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

We9d love to hear from you if you:

• Possess substantive knowledge of or a demonstrated interest in copyright law and/or AI-related litigation
• Exhibit the ability to work independently and deliver on a timely basis
• Demonstrate well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm

And have:

• A JD or equivalent
• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant law firm experience as a qualified practicing attorney in a leading international law firm
