KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER Position OverviewWe are seeking a Key Account Manager for the Axxon Mycronic line of dispense and conformal coating systems. This is a high-impact, international role with a unique focus: it is primarily a project-management driven position rather than a traditional direct sales role. Success in this position requires the ability to follow and nurture complex projects over long periods to ultimately secure and generate sales. The ideal candidate possesses deep networking skills and the ability to navigate large multi-national organizations. This role acts as the vital link between the customer and our factory, translating complex technical specifications into actionable project solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Drive strategic growth for Axxon Mycronic across key accounts throughout the US and Canada
- Cultivate and sustain high-level partnerships with cross-functional teams at all levels within designated accounts
- Develop deep organizational ties to proactively track growth and emerging project activities
- Strengthen brand presence and product awareness across the regional sales team
- Expertly navigate and communicate the technical nuances of customer projects
- Successfully close and secure new project opportunities
Experience and Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field from a four-year college or university, or a minimum of ten years related experience/training
- Technical sales and communication experience, specifically with complex high-tech electronic, mechanical, or electro-mechanical products
- 3-5 years of experience in technical sales and project management
- 3-5 years of experience in the dispensing and/or conformal coating field preferred, including familiarity with competitive systems, potting, and two-part mixing
- Language skills in Mandarin preferred, or Spanish is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams)
- Proven background navigating large organizations and establishing professional relationships
- Ability to follow and coordinate projects over long periods and across multiple countries
- Ability to comprehend and digest complex technical and application information and distill it into simple, easy-to-understand information for sales, management, and non-expert end users
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts
- Strong organization skills, business acumen, and a deep understanding of the market
- Enjoys taking on a challenge and the rewards that follow
- Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally
- Valid passport required
LocationPreferred location is San Jose, CA or Bay Area. Additional locations may be considered based on candidate qualifications.
CompensationSalary commensurate with experience and qualifications. Expected range is $130,000.00-$165,000.00.
