Full Job Description

Neogen is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Key Account Manager - Healthcare/Public Health to manage and grow strategic accounts across the healthcare and public health markets. In this manager-level role, you will build long-term partnerships with direct accounts, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), distributors, and Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), while supporting the sale of Neogen products across assigned territories. This position is ideal for a sales professional with strong account management experience, commercial discipline, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to deliver an exceptional customer experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and expand strategic relationships with customers, distributors, IDNs, and GPOs, ensuring strong customer satisfaction and long-term partnership success.
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities with new and existing accounts, developing strategic account plans to increase revenue and market presence.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts, pricing agreements, bids, RFQs, RFPs, rebate programs, and related commercial programs within assigned accounts and territories.
  • Conduct business reviews and performance analyses, providing insights and recommendations to strengthen channel partnerships and improve account performance.
  • Collaborate with sales, pricing, operations, marketing, customer support, and accounting teams to support order fulfillment, pricing updates, contract execution, billing resolution, and customer service needs.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments; attend trade shows and customer meetings to promote products, expand market knowledge, and identify growth opportunities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Life Sciences, Healthcare, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in sales, account management, or marketing of products, preferably within healthcare, public health, distribution, or related markets.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare distribution and/or GPO management, including contracts, rebates, pricing strategies, and channel programs, preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence effectively across customer and internal stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage strategic accounts, analyze performance, develop growth plans, and meet or exceed sales revenue goals.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 35% within the assigned territory to meet with current and prospective customers, distributors, and industry partners.
