Senior Key Account Manager - Data Center & Data Communications (West Coast / Remote)The company is seeking a
Key Account Manager based in the
Bay Area for a
fully remote role with up to 30% travel.
This position will manage a portfolio of high-value, established customers, with a primary focus on
data center and data communications accounts, along with select consumer and technology-driven customers. The organization designs and produces billions of components annually, including semiconductors, sensors, circuit protection devices, switches, and related technologies.
About the Role As a Key Account Manager, you will own and grow strategic relationships within the data center and data communications ecosystem. You will serve as a trusted partner to customers, helping them integrate advanced component solutions into their platforms while driving long-term revenue growth.
This role requires a strong blend of technical understanding, relationship management, and commercial execution.
Key Responsibilities - Manage and expand relationships with assigned key accounts in the data center, data communications, and adjacent markets
- Develop and execute account strategies to drive revenue growth and increase market penetration
- Position and promote component solutions based on customer applications and system requirements
- Identify new opportunities, design-in programs, and emerging needs within assigned accounts
- Partner closely with engineering, product management, operations, and global sales teams
- Support product launches, technical reviews, and customer presentations
- Track account performance, pipeline activity, and market trends
- Provide regular updates and insights to leadership
Required Qualifications - Proven experience selling electronic components, semiconductors, or related technologies
- Demonstrated background working with data center and/or data communications customers
- Minimum of 5 years in technical sales, account management, or business development
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Willingness to travel up to 30% throughout the West Coast
Preferred Profile - Experience managing large, strategic OEM or hyperscale accounts
- Strong understanding of networking, server, storage, or infrastructure platforms
- Consultative, solutions-oriented sales approach
- Comfortable working cross-functionally in a global organization
